Briana's Preschool Christmas Program (With Video!) and Goodies With Grands

This is my Christmas angel. She was all dolled up and ready to go to her Christmas program on Wednesday. She was so cute...

The program started out with the cutest nativity play by the Kindergartners...

Then the singing started...

When the three year olds came out to do their numbers, Briana got a bit bored. So she decided to do a disappearing act (sigh)...

Here I am...

Maybe I'll turn around and check this kid out behind me...

Yep, I totally did that...

Here are the kids singing. I only recorded the songs in snippets so I could actually watch the performances. This is really cute stuff. The little boy next to Briana kept lifting his shirt up. Doug started calling him "The Situation." The last song "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" was a hot mess - LOL. It started out good and then it got all jumbled up and it started to sound like a round. Completely adorable. You can hear me laughing throughout it - everyone was!

And here are some pictures of the after party and book exchange. I made cupcakes...

And the week before, Briana got to eat breakfast with Gramma and Papa for "Goodies with Grands" at school...

These are Briana's friends - she got to eat with them and their grandparents too! She had a blast!

Trip to Chattanooga - Children's Discovery Museum

The morning before we met my friend Carole and her family at Rock City, Doug and I took Briana to the Children's Discovery Museum. Briana LOVES it there. We didn't realize it was a preschool focus day that was celebrating winter - so there were lots of winter crafts and events just for preschoolers. The above picture is Briana in a bubble!

Bri entering the museum...

She loves the dinosaur section. I think she played in the sand looking for fossils for about 30 minutes...

Playing with puppets...

Growing a video snowman...

Making a winter scene on a felt board. Briana said these two birds are holding hands...

Eating flavored ice...

Hibernating... ;)

A snowball fight with daddy (with socks)...

So many crafty things to do...

It was a great morning! And the museum is going to have their annual CNY celebration again in February. I'm so excited! You can check out the celebration from last year by clicking here.

Trip to Chattanooga - The Santa Train

The night before we met my friend Carole and her family at Rock City, Doug planned another fun adventure for our family. We rode the Santa Train! It took us all the way to the North Pole (or so they say ;D). It is a 75 minute ride round trip (to the "North Pole" and back). Doug bought us tickets for the private car. In that car, each family gets special time to talk with Santa. It was so fun!

The Santa Train is provided by the Tennessee Valley Railroad...

Heading to the train...

Ok, let's go!

Briana and Mommy...

As we rode, the kids were read "The Polar Express"...

And they were provided with hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookies...

Scenery on the way...

Guess who was waiting when we arrived at the North Pole?

Where is Santa?

Here he is! He is on the train!

Have you been a good girl?

Yes I have Santa!

Hmmm, let me tell you what I want...

I got to see Santa!!!

Briana took this picture of Doug and me!

On the way back to the hotel, I had to stop and get a cupcake from Chattanooga Cupcakes. Seriously, they are the most amazing cupcakes I have ever had!
