China Adoptive Families Pumpkin Carving Halloween Party

What an awesome Halloween party! Look at all these amazing kids. Each and every one so very special.

The Halloween party was scheduled for late Sunday afternoon, and I was a bit concerned about Briana going to two really big parties on one weekend. I knew Maisie's party wasn't going to wrap up until quite late Saturday night and I thought Bri might be pretty tired on Sunday. But when I asked Bri about going to the party on Sunday, she immediately said "Count Me In!" So we went and she did great. :)

She was all smiles of course...

The family that hosted all of us was so gracious and they have a beautiful home and property - perfect for this type of gathering. The kids immediately gravitated toward the playground...

They had a zip line! Can you believe it? Look at Bri's face - seriously happy...

We did have to pry Bri away from the playground for a little while to figure out what kind of pumpkin she wanted. She went for a cat face...

A cute shot of Miss Imerie...

 Bri with her pumpkin...
The kids stuck around for a little while, but the parents ended up doing most of the work (heh)...

There was an amazing food spread - including homemade chili. My child that usually doesn't eat chili scarfed down an entire bowl. Amazing! Bri was so happy to be with all her close girl friends...

There was a lot more play time after dinner and a much needed photo opp...

Then there was a marshmallow roast to make s'mores (Bri participated in two in one weekend - LOL!)...

It started to get dark, so the hosts brought out battery powered tea light candles and lit the pumpkins...

Sadly, it was then time to wrap up because all of the kids had school the next day.

What a great evening. Love spending time with our amazing China adoption community!

A-Maisie-ing 8th Birthday Pajama Party!

Saturday night, Briana's good friend Maisie had her amazing 8th birthday party with a super fun pajama theme!

Here is the sweet 8 year old...

The girls all sat, talked and munched on some candy at first...

Then they started to play...

I'm not sure if Bri was having any fun...

Next, it was time for the hot dog roast...

Once the girls were fed, they started to play again. Lisa grilled a delicious meal for the adults as well...

Next up, cupcake decorating...

And when it got dark, the girls had a marshmallow roast...

It was dark and getting a bit chilly, so it was finally time to get in the sleeping bags and watch a movie...

While the kids were watching the movie, the adults chatted around the fire pit...

At one point, the girls got a bit bored with the movie and started to play again. Bri finished the movie on her own. :)

Sadly, it was eventually time for everyone to head home (of course Bri didn't want to go).

Thank you so much S family for inviting us to such a wonderful party!

I am a bit confused though. How are Bri and Maisie age 7 and age 8 already?

Didn't they look like this just yesterday???
