April is sometimes the last grasp that Georgians have of springtime because May often means the start of very warm temperatures for us. And this year, the summer temps did indeed start super early. We were hitting high 80 and lower to mid 90 degree temps in mid-May. It was crazy. Too hot, too early!
I'm glad Doug managed to spread our mulch in April and get the yard in order before the super hot temps hit. The house was looking really pretty...
We had a mama cardinal sitting on a nest in a tree right in front of our dining room for some time in April - waiting for her eggs to hatch (which they did)...
I'm glad we managed to also get over to the strawberry patch in late April - when temps were still really pretty.
We went on a Sunday around lunchtime - before the crowd really started arriving...
We love this little farm...
The strawberries were gorgeous...
Bri's favorite part - homemade strawberry ice cream...
And the perfect way to end our April was to see a much anticipated movie!
We saw "Avengers: Endgame" with Bri's good friend Meredith and her dad. We had so much fun (and yes - the girls cried). Totally worth the wait...
And then came May...May was a super crazy month for us.
All the end of 7th grade work and activities, Mother's Day, Doug and my wedding anniversary, Doug's trip to Thailand and finally, our family trip to Hawaii.
More on all that in my next post!
