Pioneer Days Festival - Year 3

Yay! Finally a post from Labor Day weekend!

The Sunday evening of Labor Day weekend, Doug, Bri and I invited Khalid, Ansu and Kira to join us at one of our favorite fairs - The Pioneer Days Festival. It was Kira's first fair, so Briana was in charge of showing her the ropes. :D

We made it!!!

Come on Kira - let's go!

Miss K getting her arm bands for rides...

We started with a little train for Miss K - and I rode with the girls. A bit cramped but fun! LOL!

Trying out another ride...

Quick stop for some dinner - Bri's choice - corn dog and fries...

K wanted to try the carousel after dinner...

The girls went on the fishy ride...

Bri wanted then to step it up and went on her all time favorite - the bungee...

She kept getting higher and higher (I am going to do a separate post on her heights).

The girls rode ponies and Briana got on a camel too...

Ferris Wheel...

K was too little for this one. Bri loves the roller coaster...

Another ride together...

Then it was on to win the girls prizes. Balloon darts was a great choice...

This was the funniest part of the festival. Kira wouldn't let go of the dart when she was attempting to throw - it was so adorable. And Khalid couldn't break a balloon to save his life. The guy running the booth asked me, Ansu and Briana to throw a dart with our eyes closed and we all broke balloons. Doug did it behind his back. Khalid tried (eyes open and closed) and kept missing. I was hilarious and I had tears in my eyes. Now I will say he did finally break a few, but he missed more than he made. I am sure he loves that I am sharing all this! Funny stuff...

And the girls walked away with stuffed animals...

Ansu took the girls on this twirly ride...

We stopped to watch some motorcycles in a cage...

Funnel cake time...

Swing time...

Ansu decided to try the bungee action...

Then it was one more ride on the ferris wheel...

The kids (big and little) had a great time at the fair. After four hours, the girls were still not ready to go home. The parents were tired and very ready to go home. Heh.

A fantastic time was had by all!

Slowly On The Mend

Hopefully...

I have had a couple of better days - definitely better than last week. I am not even close to perfect, but I was actually able to get a few things done around the house today which I was not able to do at all last week. And I managed to get Bri to her soccer game on Saturday as well as Chinese dance class.

I hope that I slowly feel better each day. I still don't have my blood results back, and I'm not even sure if they are going to reveal anything. I'd love to have some sort of answer as to what I experienced last week. Fall is on its way and I want to feel good. If you all remember, I had a rough time with my health last fall as well. Bri has fall break in two weeks, and I have a bunch of activities I want to do with her.

I have been semi-keeping up with Facebook and blogs. I have definitely missed some stuff. I just haven't been up to sitting at my computer really. Last week, I just wanted to sleep.

I have so much stuff I haven't been able to blog about yet. So I hope to post something tomorrow or the day after.

I'll be back soon.

Picture Day

Here is my beautiful girl on picture day at school (Tuesday)...

She is such a little diva - LOL!!!

Briana absolutely loves to dress up.

This is all I can blog about right now. I have so much more to blog about - Labor Day weekend, Bri's first soccer practice, Pioneer Days Festival - but I am not feeling well. Not sure what is up with me. I have been feeling bad since Sunday night. I finally went to the doctor today and had a bunch of blood taken (six vials) to see what my issue might be. I am feeling so run down.

I'll be back as soon as I can. I am ready to feel like my old self again!

Soaring To New Heights

Doug, Bri and I had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. One of the things we did was go to the Pioneer Days Festival Sunday evening. Of course, Briana wanted to do the bungee. She soared higher than I think I have ever seen her go before.

Her fearlessness amazes me. I often wish I had just half the courage she has. She was flipping over and over in the air like she has always done it. Maybe I have a Cirque du Soleil performer in my midst? ;D
