Enjoying Summertime (All About June)

After our vacation to Hawaii, we were really tired. Between travel, all the things we did on vacation and dealing with jet lag, we were beat. That week after getting home, we didn't do much at all except recuperate (and do lots of laundry). We really needed the rest. After that quiet week, we did have some fun things planned for the rest of June.

We were traveling on Bri's 12th referral day anniversary, so I took a picture of her the next day...

The one thing we did to right after we got home from vacation was attend Cousin Nate's 7th birthday skating birthday party...

June for us is always a whirlwind of birthdays and special occasions.

Bri has two friends that have birthdays in May, but this year, they celebrated with parties in June.

Katie turned 13 and had a super fun escape room birthday party with dinner afterward...

Claire, Katie, Bri and Chani...

And Bri's friend Imerie also turned 13 and had a rock climbing and sleepover birthday get together...

Bri, Mary and Imerie...

My birthday falls in June (as well as my sister, my brother-in-law and my nephew).

Doug and Bri bought me a cute cake for my birthday...

And then they took me out for a nice birthday dinner...

Bri drew me this picture of a cat lady drinking wine - she knows me so well (LOL!)...

B and I also saw "Aladdin" for my birthday - it was so good...

Father's Day also lands in June of course.

Bri and I took our special guy out to dinner...

Bri's gifts to Doug...

Doug, Bri and I went to see my parents the day before Father's Day to celebrate both my b-day and Father's Day...

Bri got a nice haircut...

And she and Doug bought this new RC car to play with...

We had a fun swim day in June with neighbors/friends Jennifer and Caitlin (and Cookie)...

And finally the last week of June, Bri went to a week long fun and games camp (mornings only) with her BFF Mary...

Hanging out at camp...

They had a few lunches out together too...

June was a nice mix of busyness and much needed down time. We have the same on tap for July. And then Bri starts back to school August 1st. I know - it's crazy. Lots of breaks during the school year equals early start date for school. Boo.

I am going to try to not think about August yet. We are just going to focus on having fun in July!

Maui Vacation 2019 - So Many Experiences

What else can I really say? Our trip to Maui was magical. I cannot believe how many terrains we explored on just one island. We experienced so much - honestly, more than I ever imagined.

An amazing sunrise...

A volcano crater...

Lush, flower-filled gardens...

Rainbow painted trees...

Green rainforests...

Bubbling creeks...

 Freshwater pools...

Lava rock beaches...

A black sand beach...

Waterfalls...

Huge mountains...

Rolling hills...

 Crystal blue ocean...

A white sand beach...

Palm trees...

Rainbows...

 Song and dance...

 Amazing food...

 And spectacular sunsets...

We hope to go back to Hawaii one day. Maybe to explore a different island.

Thank you Maui for giving us such wonderful memories. And thank you to everyone who helped give us advice for our trip - it means more than you will ever know.

If you missed any posts on the trip, here they are (thanks for reading along!)...

Now back to regularly scheduled programming. :)
