Eight years ago today (July 30, 2007), we met our new daughter for the first time. It was a moment filled with amazement, excitement and happiness along with anxiety, confusion, tears and lots of fear (from parents and child alike).
Briana was one of the most precious babies we had ever laid eyes on...
Learning to be first time parents on the other side of the world, with no friends and family physically able to be there to support us, was really tough. But, Doug and I (and Bri) got through it together. And we are stronger because of it.
