Refreshed Bedroom

Honestly, I cannot believe I haven't blogged in almost a month. Time is flying by.

For us (our family), it's been a bit of adjustment getting back into the groove of life again after the life-altering pandemic. "Getting back into the groove of life" means a lot of things to us right now - including doing some updating to our house. We had (and still have) a list of things we wanted to get done. Some of our "to do" list items happened last month and some will happen in 2022 - right after the holidays.

One of our "to do" items was updating Briana's bedroom. Bri had been wanting to update her room for a very long time. She is only going to be living with us for a few more years, and I really want her enjoy the rest of high school in this room. She wanted something a bit more grown up - she asked for a dark blue/gray-themed room, so we hired a painter and made it happen...

Bri and I took a lot of things out of her room and changed out/updated a couple of the furniture pieces.

She is really, really happy with the finished product (and I am too).

Change is always difficult for me ~ I remember picking the first paint color and putting her nursery together...

Then Doug and I converted her crib to a full-size bed...

Then when she got into elementary school, she wanted something more fun, bright and bold...

Now, her room color is very calming and soothing. Definitely more mature.

I have so many things I still want/need to do around the house.

And I have a number of blog posts I want to write too - which I will very soon.

I plan to write about...what Bri's been up to at school lately, a couple of art exhibits we visited recently, Halloween festivities - and I still owe you that post I said I would write about working on myself.

It's all coming. Be back soon.
