With everything we had scheduled over fall break, I wasn't actually sure we would get to apple picking. I knew between the trip, getting the license and going to the concert, we would be kind of done. But, I asked both Doug and Bri and they still really wanted to make it happen. Two of the sweetest little kitties greeted us at the register.
We purchased our bag and it was off to the orchard.
Unlike last year, the trees were FULL of apples. They were heavy with fruit. Unfortunately, because we were there on a weekday, we were only allowed to pick from the Rome Beauty section (wish we had more of a selection), but we were thrilled there were so many apples on the trees...
Once again, Bri got on Doug's shoulders. I cannot believe it actually happened this year!
All the years of sitting on shoulders...
Some really pretty views...
Our family...
We picked our apples and headed over to the Apple House store for extras (like cider, jellies and fried pies)...
We left the orchard and headed over to our favorite antique shop in Ellijay...
We bought a few goodies and then went to our favorite North Georgia BBQ place for lunch...
When we finished eating, we then stopped at one last place - our favorite grocery/general store in Ellijay...
After a very full morning/early afternoon and a long week, we were really tired. Briana wanted to drive us home, so she did (in the Tesla)!
