Finally! New Year's Eve!! It only took me 14 days into the New Year to talk about it. That's not too bad, right?
We originally had plans to go to a party on New Year's Eve, but sadly, the hosts had a family emergency and the party had to be cancelled. Our good friends Matt and Jennifer and their daughter Cassie were also supposed to attend the party. So, we decided to get together anyway, have dinner and ring in the New Year at our house instead. We feasted on Japanese hibachi and then the girls played for hours in Briana's play room while the adults sat and chatted. Seriously, the adults were starting to get very tired (after a very filling meal and a few glasses of wine) while the girls were still going, going, going....
Jennifer is a photographer and is actually the person that did our photo session back in April. We decided to have a little fun with the camera and she showed me how to play around with shutter speed. Check out some of the fun images we got...
It was getting close to midnight, so we got out the sparkling grape juice...
This was probably the first time the girls actually sat down the whole evening. And this was Bri's very first time staying up until midnight...
Midnight finally stuck and out came the horns...
Welcome 2012!!! Both girls were completely wiped out once the clock struck 12. We got Briana upstairs by about 12:30 and she crashed fast. I had to finally wake her up at 10:30AM. She would have slept the first day of 2012 away!

1 Kind Words:
I would ALWAYS prefer to have NYE at home and people round like you did, but as we live in Scotland, that would be totally unacceptable! Parties go on for 2/3 days here and I have to summon up all my energy to get through it :-D It looks like a great night at Casa de Briana!!! Gracie made it to 11.30pm, not bad for a "just turned 2 yr old".....
Happy Saturday :-)
