Claude Monet Immersive Experience

When Doug, Bri and I checked out the Lego Immersive Experience on my birthday, we noticed that the Monet Immersive Experience was located in the same building - except that exhibit was closed that day for some reason. Bri really wanted to go back and see it. I discovered that the exhibit was about to leave Atlanta, so I needed to get us tickets pronto. I grabbed tickets for the following weekend after we returned from Savannah (that Sunday was the last day of the show in Atlanta).

 So off we went...

We entered the 1st area that talked all about Monet's life and the impressionism era...

The 2nd area was filled with Monet's paintings and what a room in his home would have looked like...

The 3rd area was a room in which you felt like you entered one of Monet's paintings...

After spending some time in the 3rd area, we moved on to the 4th area where visitors watch Monet's paintings "come to life" on the big screen...

These experiences are so peaceful. I could just sit there all day.

We finally did have to leave and we stopped at the gift shop and Bri stopped to color a picture...

And then it was over. We love these events and are waiting for the next artist to be presented!

We stopped at Joey D's for lunch before heading home...

And yes, this is a Rolls-Royce parked in the parking lot...

The food was really tasty. The croissants with the honey butter drizzle are amazing. Doug had a steak salad, Bri had a crab dip and I had the burger. My burger came with blue cheese crumbles and the flavor was pretty strong. Next time I would probably order it without the cheese. The Hershey brownie with ice cream that we all shared (but Bri ate most of) was absolutely ridiculous (so good)!

We made a quick stop at the Barnes and Noble before heading home.

It was a great morning/afternoon. We really enjoy these immersion experiences!
