Soccer Party/Farewell U10

Right after the girls won their division/tournament, Assistant Coach Shannon offered to have the end of the season soccer party at her house. And it wasn't only a party, it was sleepover for the girls. They couldn't have been more excited.

Bri made thank you cards for her coaches...

When we arrived, the girls all gathered in the backyard for some zip lining/team bonding...

Coach Javier also put together some outside games for the girls to play...

It's time to throw water balloons at the coach (pay back)!!!!

After playing games, the kids and parents ate grilled hot dogs and hamburgers. Well, until the sky opened up and it started pouring.

We had to take the rest of the festivities inside...

Everyone gathered on the couches and Coach Javier had trophies for all the girls. He said wonderful things about each and every player...

He even gave a trophy to Coach Shannon (who totally deserved it!)...

What an amazing group of girls...

Look at the super fun desserts that were made for the girls...

All smiles. The girls were ready for the parents to leave so they could have their sleepover...

I have to give a huge shout out to our coaches. They volunteer their time to do this each and every season. The girls have learned so much.

We are losing two of our girls next season - one is heading to SSA and the other is going to be a cheerleader. The other five girls will move up to U12 rec. We are keeping our coaches (woo hoo!) and they are working on merging with another team that is in need of some players (there will be nine players on the field for U12). It will be a new dynamic and a new challenge, but I know these girls will be up for it.

Go Team Golden Eagles!!!
