It was that time of the year again - apple picking time! We weren't going to let this pandemic stop us from enjoying our yearly tradition! It's actually a great social distancing activity if you hit the orchard at the right time (it can get super crowded on weekends, so we usually try to avoid that anyway).
We got there right when it opened. We were so happy to be there that day and the weather was perfect (very fall-like)...
Gorgeous views...
Doug has been lifting Briana onto his shoulders for years to pick higher up apples, and once again, he did it! (Wasn't sure he was going to attempt it this year!)...
Picking away...
Photo op time...
My awesome girl! (I asked her to take her glasses off so I could see her beautiful eyes!)...
Once we filled our bag, we went into the apple store - the farmer greeted us once again...
Masks were required in the store - which was great...
Fried pies...
We walked out with jams, pies and cider - all the good stuff.
We decided to stop in our favorite little antique shop in the town...
We were the only customers in the store the entire time and there was a sign on the door asking people to wear masks (which we did). Unfortunately, the cashier that day opted not to wear one (very confusing). We had planned to visit the orchard toward the end of the week, but rain was coming and we chose to go on Wednesday instead. So glad we did. It was a picture perfect day for it.
This was a great way to usher in the fall season!

1 Kind Words:
Beautiful pictures, fun family activity. We do miss picking apples (none here in NE Florida). So many memories for your family!
