Soccer Superstar

Briana and her teammates did awesome during their first game! They dominated both halves! The girls all worked as a team and did an amazing job.

It was pretty chilly to start out with, so Bri had her jacket on for about 15 to 20 minutes, then she felt warm enough to take it off...

Briana has an amazing ability to recover the ball from the other team and turn it around. She is really fast. When the other team starts to head toward their goal, B can catch up to them, get in front them to steal the ball and then head toward her team's goal instead. And she has crazy control over the ball too. It is really something to see.

 There are times though that she still doesn't strike fast enough when finally arriving at the goal. She doesn't think she can get it past the other team and starts to think about what she needs to do. But in that time, the other team can kick it away. I told her to take the shot if she is close enough - even if someone is in the way. Better to make the shot and fail (or possibly make it) than not try at all...

Briana also has the ability to go and go and go without taking any breaks. She can run for a half an hour without stopping. She doesn't even realize she needs to stop and get a drink until she finally stops. I wish I had 1/8 of her energy.

5 goals and many assists later, the game finally ended.

I took lots of pictures for Doug because he missed the game due to being in Vegas.
